Dr. Provini is a board-certified dermatologist and pediatric dermatologist dedicated to caring for children and families with expertise, compassion, and intention. A Connecticut native, she knew from an early age—after being inspired by her own pediatrician—that she wanted to devote her career to caring for children.

She completed her undergraduate studies at Yale University and earned her medical degree from Yale School of Medicine before beginning her pediatrics residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), one of the nation’s leading children’s hospitals. It was there that she discovered the powerful connection between a child’s skin, their self-confidence, and overall wellbeing—an experience that shaped the trajectory of her career.

Dr. Provini went on to complete her dermatology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where she served as Chief Resident, followed by specialized fellowship training in pediatric dermatology at Yale. Through her training, she worked alongside leaders in the field and developed a deep commitment to providing thoughtful, comprehensive care for children at every stage of development.

After several years in practice, Dr. Provini recognized that traditional dermatology settings often don’t allow the time, environment, or individualized approach that pediatric patients truly need. She founded Wave Dermatology to offer a different model—one centered on longer visits, meaningful relationships, and care that considers the whole child, not just their skin.

At Wave Dermatology, Dr. Provini partners closely with families to create personalized treatment plans, with a strong emphasis on education, prevention, and confidence-building. Her goal is simple: to provide the level of care she would want for her own daughter—thoughtful, unhurried, and deeply supportive at every step.
